Ever since the tsunami catastrophe in Southeast Asia late last year, helping the victims in a meaningful and lasting manner has been a matter of particular concern to Schattdecor.
At the recommendation of the company Panel Plus, one of its Thai customers, Schattdecor accordingly donated 500,000 baht (approx. €10,000) on May 30, 2005 to the "Rajaprajanugroh Foundation under the Royal Patronage" in Bangkok.
The donation will be supporting a foundation set up by the King of Thailand for children orphaned in natural disasters. The foundation builds and runs day care centres and boarding schools to provide the children with a solid education until they reach the age of 18. A new school is being currently constructed in the Khao Lak district, which was particularly devastated by the tsunami.
