Showing at the 2006 ZOW Italia a complete success for Schattdecor

Best-selling progressive decors and a new-look booth met with positive customer response

At the 90-square-metre Schattdecor booth at the ZOW Italia, Franco Lozza, Sales Director at Schattdecor s.r.l., and his highly capable team exhibited ten new furniture decors and 13 best-selling designs on large-format display boards to customers and visitors from Italy and other countries.
As the Sales Director at Schattdecor's Italian subsidiary recalls, "In the six years of its existence, the ZOW Italia in Pordenone has become an important show for Schattdecor, and in the meantime can now be regarded as the decisive Italian event for suppliers to the furniture industry. This year we were once again able to welcome a growing number of visitors, particularly from European countries. Our decors were a source of inspiration to many of our important customers, and on Saturday, the last day of the event, we were rushed off our feet, providing customers and sales prospects with advice and information until the last minute".
Walnut, oak and fantasy wood grains were the three top themes at Schattdecor's showing at this year's ZOW Italia, and among European customers a lot of demand was also registered for walnut, followed by plum and maple.
As Michela Avancini, who is responsible for design and product development at Schattdecor s.r.l., states, "This year we presented a completely new interpretation of walnut – a traditionally very popular woodgrain in Italy – that proved to be completely in line with the tastes of our discriminating customers".  In a demonstration of decor development expertise eight walnut decors, most of which had been developed especially for the event, were presented by the team led by Klaus Steinger, head of Product Development for the Schattdecor Group.

Sevilla Olive
The decor Sevilla Olive, which was frequently featured on furniture displayed at the recent MOW. furniture ordering show in Bad Salzuflen, met with a positive response, which was all the more pleasing in one of the home countries of the olive tree. The distinguished look of the decor – which makes it ideal in combination with shiny surfaces – had customers in search of a particular design aesthetic more than convinced. Sevilla Olive is intended for use as an extravagant cabinet front finish in kitchen, residential and bedroom applications.

Rainbow
Stripes are in line with trends, and as a Schattdecor contribution, Rainbow offers linear clarity and subtle gradations of colour. This makes it highly suitable for furniture with a young and contemporary touch, where it will provide unusual accentuation.

Davos Plum
The overwhelming success enjoyed by Valais Plum has inspired the Schattdecor development team to come up with further variations of this particular woodgrain theme. Davos Plum takes the familiar look and presents it as a worktop decor in the butcher block style. The lively and distinctive design is also in line with the current trend towards fruitwood and heartwood decors. Davos Plum offers striking planking and unusual details, resulting in a lively overall effect with pronounced colouration and brilliant hues. As in the case of Valais Plum, areas of sapwood offering dark, fine lines and attractive colouring are another feature of this new decor.

At the Schattdecor booth, customers and visitors alike praised the exclusive-looking Raw Steel flooring and the way it harmoniously combined with decors especially developed for the door industry, such as Cardiff Cherry presented in a horizontal format.
