Schattdecor AG, the global market leader in printed decor paper, took part in the Intermob show for the eighth time this year, placing its latest furniture and flooring on display at a 220-square-metre, two-storey booth in collaboration with LignaDecor, the Istanbul-based company that represents it on the Turkish market. The forestry products and wood technology exhibition took place in Istanbul on 19 - 14 November 2007.
At the very important trend event for southeast Europe and the Near East, the decor paper printer's latest developments were presented by Erhan Kara, decor paper sales manager at LignaDecor, and Andreas Bruckbauer, Schattdecor's sales officer responsible for the Turkish market. Contacts were renewed and orders noted down from new customers impressed by the range of products and services offered by the Thansau, Germany-based decor specialist.
The different sections of the booth embodying furnishings trends titled Star, Community, Cosmopolitan and Gourmet met the varying tastes of the trade audience. As expected, the hardwood reproduction Kandy Jacaranda, the French Walnut-based Noce Solista, the upmarket Virginia Walnut, and Valais Plum, an especially good-looking decor, met with particular interest.

Kandy Jacaranda
Broad and narrow year rings make this tropical woodgrain particularly striking and decorative in look, predestining it for horizontal formats on furniture fronts. The high-gloss finish shows off the beautiful play of colour and the effect of depth to particular advantage.

Noce Solista
This fine and elegant heartwood interpretation features French Walnut in a generous flowing look characterised by lively figuring and tightly-laid planking. Striking details, such as contrast-rich areas of sapwood marked by fine dark lines and attractive colouration, underscore the rustic yet modern look of Noce Solista.

 Virginia Walnut
Walnut is currently a major theme in furniture construction and interior decoration, whereby Virginia Walnut meets the demand for lively yet elegant reproductions of the woodgrain. Based on a typically American and distinguished-looking version of the timber, the decor offers sapwood at regular intervals as well as clearly delineated planking. Virginia Walnut creates a lively and expressive impression despite the elegance of the wood thanks to occasional slip match details.

Valais Plum
A highly distinctive decor that unites the trends towards fruit wood and heartwood, Valais Plum offers striking planking and unusual details, resulting in a lively overall effect with pronounced colouration and brilliant hues. Areas of sapwood offering dark, fine lines and attractive colouring are another feature of this lively new decor.
