The Schattdecor Group continued its foreign expansion by acquiring the printing operations of Cartiere Sottrici Binda in Milan, Italy, in December 1995, naming the new subsidiary Schattdecor s.r.l.
In early 1998, the production operations were relocated to a 33,000-square-metre plot in nearby Rosate, where a new decor printing plant had been erected.
