Review: The highlights of Interzum 2025
Simplify - One design. All applications.
Simplify. One design. All applications.
Robert Vuga, Sales Director: “Our customers receive all components for the start of their product development from a single source at Schattdecor. Our primary goal was to bring clarity to an increasingly complex world for customers and visitors.”
As a surface specialist, Schattdecor prints and finishes paper and thermoplastic surfaces to create modern technical and decorative surfaces for furniture and flooring. A broad network of partners also provides the appropriate edgebands, thermoforming sheets or, embossed and synchronized sheets – Schattdecor offers the right surface package for every customer. For example, the Guyana decor, an onyx stone interpretation with mother-of-pearl, was optimally pressed with Synchronpore. A look that is remarkably like real material and, with its luxurious aesthetics, is ideal for bathrooms, kitchens, and store designs.

The New Trend Concept is The Art of Tomorrow.
Under the motto “The Art of Tomorrow.” Schattdecor presented the new trend concept. It includes three trend worlds that address the changes of our time: Hipstoric, Clarity, and New Aesthetic. In a world that is increasingly characterized by complexity and contradictions, the desire for clarity and meaningfulness is growing.
The focus was therefore on bold approaches, new materials in decor and surfaces and a keen sense for the essence of design. As a surface specialist, we offer answers to complex requirements and demonstrate a new aesthetic in interior design.
“It is always valuable to accompany our customers personally through the exhibition booth and to receive direct feedback on our ideas and innovations. This year, we staged our booth as a gallery – which was very well received by our guests. Our trend concept 'The Art of Tomorrow' was not only praised by visitors but also encouraged dialog and discussion. Special highlights were the walnut decor Ravello Walnut, the Sardes Oak and Montmartre Oak decors and the Guyana stone decor,” says Claudia Küchen, Head of Design, Marketing and HR at Schattdecor.

The Highlight Decors of the Trade Fair
This walnut decor is featured with unique contours, emphasized by the intense shadows along the lines, which run in deep black. The design provides a high-quality appearance that is both simple and elegant. The enhanced lines give the walnut a lively, striated appearance contributing to its timeless, modern, and high-end look. Ravello Walnut is an eternal classic for furniture that is characterized by its versatility and naturalness.
Sardes Oak is a furniture decor that can be produced in different ways: subtle with a sense of calm and balance and with a strong and expressive structure. Refined or rustic – this decor lends itself to a variety of expressions and uses. Its versatility makes it ideal for different markets and applications, offering customers flexibility and choice. The pronounced lines ensure liveliness and naturalness in the expressive rich-in-contrast design. Sardes Oak is one of the decors that has been popular right from the outset.
Montmartre Oak, currently in great demand in the market, is a striped decor with cathedrals and a striking black pore that provides the intense depth achieved in this design. This oak decor is impressive with its elegant veneer look, clear structure, and timeless elegance making it a versatile design. The beautiful lines and elegant cathedrals give it a sought-after look that can be used in a wide variety of applications.
This interpretation of an onyx stone impresses with its unique combination of opaque and translucent areas that give it exceptional depth. The use of mother-of-pearl further accentuates the sophisticated, premium effect. Soft transitions and subtly varying structural gradients create an exclusive, natural look that comes deceptively close to real material. With a generous, non-repetitive layout, Guyana is suitable for use as flooring but can also be used for furniture and wall panels. Colorful veins allow for versatile combinations and underline the luxurious aesthetic, Guyana is ideal for kitchen, bathroom, and store designs.
Crowd Puller Concept Sense+ & First Presentation of the Sustainability Report
Concept Sense+
Concept Sense+ is a decor development service that gives Schattdecor customers the opportunity to evaluate a new layout directly with a suitable structure even before the actual laboratory testing. The direct and early involvement of customers in the decor development process was very well received by all visitors.
By communicating a coherent overall concept in this preliminary phase, we actively encourage customers in their (purchasing) decision for a new decor. The Amalfi decor stood out, particularly in this area.
Here you can find the Concept Sense+ decors that were shown at Interzum.
Sustainability Report 2024
The new sustainability report was also presented for the first time at Interzum 2025.

The expectations and needs of our customers are also at the heart of our sustainability journey and the further development of our product portfolio: because sustainability is an important contribution to ensuring the long-term success of our company.
