Schattdecor Publishes Second Sustainability Report and Highlights Concrete Progress in Its Strategic Focus on Energy and Innovation
The Schattdecor Group has published its 2025 Sustainability Progress Report. It builds on the first group-wide sustainability report for the 2024 fiscal year and highlights the ongoing improvement in sustainability management at Schattdecor, including the formulation of specific goals.
In its first sustainability report in 2025, Schattdecor provided a comprehensive overview of its ESG commitment for the first time: its sustainability strategy, corporate governance, materiality analysis, and long-term goals—including its target of achieving greenhouse gas neutrality by 2045. The new progress report builds on this foundation but takes a more concise approach: It focuses on key metrics and operational developments from the 2025 fiscal year and highlights where the strategy has measurably advanced over the past twelve months.
“By doubling our photovoltaic capacity and increasing energy efficiency by 37 percent since 2015, we are demonstrating that sustainability at Schattdecor is not just a promise, but a measurable reality,” explains Claus Neuffer, Executive Board Member for Technology and Sustainability.
The “Green Windmill” innovation program has also entered a new phase: The groundwork laid in recent years has now given rise to 13 concrete pioneering projects in the areas of emissions reduction, services, and product-specific ecological innovations. The first pilot projects are already underway, including the development of a fully electric production machine.
“We do not view sustainability as a one-time project, but rather as a continuous process of further development,” Neuffer continues.
