Arctic Fishbone
Decor-Number: 14-01083-001A special eye-catcher in the furniture sector: Artic Fishbone. The decor serves the ongoing trend towards herringbone or fishbone looks, as we know them from floors in old homes, modern lofts or large city apartments. This décor has a layout that exudes high quality, a sophisticated lifestyle and an absolutely timeless design. It is unique in its interpretation, because the arrangement of the bars is not, as usual, synchronous and flush. It is deliberately laid out irregularly. For example, the joints vary in width and the wedge-shaped and trapezoidal elements appear offset. Further added features: the optically rough surface structure of the decor, which is also available in a whitewashed look. Artic Fishbone is an exciting all-rounder that shines on furniture fronts, tabletops and wall elements.

The name "Arctic Fishbone" is inspired by a special technique used to lay parquet flooring. In what is commonly referred to as herringbone parquet, the wooden blocks are placed with their ends at right angles to each other. This makes this floor not only visually appealing, but also extremely stable. The visual appeal of this type of arrangement stems from an ornamental, decorative character that is reminiscent of bygone architectural styles and eras. In the past, the special zigzag pattern was even said to ward off evil. Decor printing gives us the opportunity to reinterpret this classic variant and develop it for the furniture sector - with new block shapes, a rough decor look and diverse arrangements.
