Ура! We are celebrating 10 years Tyumen and 20 years Russia

We are pleased to note that 2020 and 2021 were all about Russia. In 2020 we celebrated 20 years of Schattdecor in Russia, and then this year was all about the tenth anniversary of our Tyumen site there.

How it all began

No joke. On April 1st, 2011, we purchased an old production hall from our customer at that time, MK Tura, and started producing melamine film almost immediately. A few years later we built our ООО "schattdecor", which we were able to inaugurate in 2015.  What have we achieved?  17.8 million m² of melamine film were produced in 2011.  And today? An incredible 59.1 million m², a large part of which will be delivered to the new export markets of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. Well done!

20 Years in Russia

The story of Schattdecor Russia started in 2000 in Shatura. Here, too, with the takeover of the printing and impregnation capacities from our customer MK Schatura. In mid-2020, the production capacities were relocated from Shatura to Chekhov, where our 68 employees produced 525 tons of decor paper, 5.2 million m² of melamine films and 2.2 million m² of finish foils in the same year. In 2020, 20 years later, our 245 employees in Chekhov will reach 14,139 tons of decor paper, 40.2 million m² of melamine films and 2.6 million m² of finish foils. Ура!

Congratulations to our 79 colleagues in Tyumen and all 245 colleagues in Chekhov.

A few memories and experiences of our colleagues from 2011 in Tyumen:

One day we came into the old office and saw that the ceiling there had collapsed. Apparently the company that was supposed to renovate our office spaces had done something wrong. We can still remember this "fallen sky" very well today.

Tatjana Zajkowa / Secretary

When our IT colleague from Chekhov came to us to connect the office equipment, I was in the production department for many weeks and, therefore, never in the office. From time to time he asked: Where is the lady? "The lady" didn't come back to her place of work until a week later, when he had already flown back

Ekaterina Leonowa / Production Planning

We had to redesign production, renovate our office spaces, modernize the impregnation channel, retrain our people in the shortest possible time ... In the beginning, I worked as a production manager, technologist, engineer for occupational safety, and much, much more. That was incredibly interesting, even though it sounds difficult. Thanks to Schattdecor, I was able to develop myself further by coming up with answers to new, interesting tasks.
