Flavio Lufchitz announces retirement

Flavio Lufchitz, General Director of Schattdecor Brazil, will retire at the end of this year. As of January 2022, the direction of the Brazilian unit will be shared between Sandra Mohr Ludwig (Sales, Design, Marketing and Communications), Gerson Aldo de Souza (Production and Engineering) and Carla Mendes (Finance, HR and Administrative).

Roland Auer, CEO of Schattdecor AG, on the retirement of Flavio Lufchitz: “With Flavio Lufchitz, we say goodbye to an experienced Schattdecor man and man of the industry. He contributed to our success in the Latin American market and successfully accompanied our positive development on site. Today, we proudly look at two locations that are state-of-the-art and progressive and, thanks to the new management, well equipped for the future. We are losing a long-time colleague, but have found a loyal friend in Flavio. We wish him all the best for his retirement."

Lufchitz has dedicated a large part of his national and international career, spanning over 35 years, in the decorative papers sector. Initially responsible for the Direction of Production and Engineering, in 2017 he assumed the General Management of Schattdecor Brazil. In addition to the increase in production capacity achieved in the printed paper segment and the acquisition, integration and modernization of the impregnation plant, its management is marked by the realization of Schattdecor's growth plans in Latin America, participatory governance based on the company's philosophy, continuous improvement and focus on customers. Flavio will leave a legacy of sustainable investments aimed at the future, which will be continued by the next administration.

Dear customers, suppliers and partners,

After nine years at Schattdecor, I leave this position in December of this year, so that there is a renewal in the direction, in accordance with the guidelines of the Schattdecor Group.

Before this change takes place, I would like to thank you and say goodbye – although unfortunately this cannot be done in person due to the pandemic situation in which we are now living. I am grateful for these unforgettable years! Years full of good memories, fun moments, others not so much, exciting and challenging projects and the certainty of having prepared a strong, cohesive team, ready to move forward with the company's goals.

To all of you, I want to deeply thank you for your trust, support and understanding. I am, above all, very proud and happy to have been part of this great team and I hope that the reciprocal will be mutual. It’s essential, especially in these difficult times, which we are aware that human relationships are the foundations that we carry throughout our lives, and I believe that I’ve left good colleagues, partners and friends as a legacy forever!

I take this opportunity to wish the new management every success in their new challenges.

This is not a “goodbye”, but a “see you soon”.
